MyDrivers, a chinese site, got their hands on lots of pictures of an upcoming MSI LGA1155 motherboard. The site claims that its MSI Z77A-GD65 but according to a sticker present at the back of the PCB in one of the picture testify that its Z77A-GD55 instead.
As the name suggests, the MSI Z77A-GD55 comes equipped with Intel’s upcoming Z77 chipset to support Intel’s Ivy Bridge 22nm processors. It has an LGA1155 socket which get its power from a 9-phase power system. As other LGA1155 motherboards, it has four DIMM slots which support up to 32 GB of DDR3 memory in dual channel mode. It has three PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot (one of them is wired for x8) and four PCI Express x1 slots. It supports both NVIDIA SLI and AMD Crossfire.
For on-board storage connectivity options, we get four SATA III 6Gbps ports and two SATA II 3Gbps ports accompanied with a front panel USB 3.0 header and several USB 2.0 headers. Other on-board features include power, reboot, OC-Genie buttons, voltage measurement points and Power-on LEDs. It comes with a Fintek F71889AD chip for hardware monitoring.
Back panel I/O has a mouse/keyboard PS / 2, two USB 3.0, four USB 2.0, optical and coaxial S / PDIF, CMOS clear button, Intel Gigabit Ethernet and 5.1 channel HD audio (Realtek AL892). Its comes with HDMI, DVI and VGA ports for display connectivity.
MSI Z77A-GD55 comes with all proprietary MSI features like Military Class III Components and OC-Genie. Its expected to hit retail along with Intel Ivy Bridge processors in April.
